We are pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Popp as CEO of ViGo Bioenergy, succeeding Guillaume Quiviger.
Martin has played a central role in ViGo’s journey to date. In 2015, he co-founded Liquind with a focus on decarbonising heavy goods vehicles. Under his leadership, the business grew to become the market leader in Germany by 2021. Liquind was then rebranded to ViGo following the company’s acquisition by Vitol in 2021, where Martin continued as Managing Director of Germany.
As CEO and with extensive technical knowledge of the business, Martin will lead ViGo into its next phase of growth, building on its strong position in bioenergy and its commitment to practical decarbonisation solutions for transport and industry.
“I am honoured to become CEO of ViGo Bioenergy at such an exciting time for the business. We have built a strong platform, a talented team and a clear purpose, and I look forward to leading ViGo through its next phase of growth.”
We would also like to thank Guillaume Quiviger for his leadership and contribution to ViGo over the past five years. Under his stewardship the company has grown from being the German market leader into one of Europe’s largest LNG to transport businesses, vertically integrated from production to distribution. We wish him every success for the future.
